During the European Football Championship in 2016, the NOS produced a talkshow NOS Studio France 2016. In stylishly decorated television studio they received the guests to discuss the match of the day.
‘The starting point in the set design was a luxury penthouse with a view over Paris.’
The red corner sofa
The starting point in the set design was a luxurious Parisian penthouse with a red corner sofa. The black frame of this corner sofa was made of steel. The backrest was specially made in an active posture, resulting in a comfortable sitting posture. The red loose blocks and pillows were provided to support the arm and the back. By putting the blocks under the backrest, they could not slide. The corner sofa consisted of a two-seater and three-seater sofa. Together they formed a corner sofa. The presentation set included a square side table with a steel frame and a wooden table top. For the presentation extra leather armchairs were put down for the sidekicks. Rien Beerenz took care of the styling of the entire set. Unbranded Experience build and decorated the set.
Decoration of the set
In the set I applied various decorative finishes such as brick and concrete. On the walls with the built-in TV screens, the brick structure should not attract too much attention, but should be noticed. The bricks all had a different shade, so that the walls looked anything but dull. In addition, it fitted perfectly with modern styling. Brick and wood were also a great combination and made the room feel warm. Because these materials have a tendency to make the room less light, I applied both accent and ambient lighting to create dispersed illumination on the walls such as downlights or thin strips of LED along the pillars.
